Enhancing the allure of a product through design inspiration drawn from computer games culminated in the creation of a video meticulously crafted to imbue the product with symbolic imagery.

01 brief

An online retail platform sought an advertisement to showcase novelty-themed door signs tailored for the widely recognized concept of a "Mancave."

The promotional material was intended for deployment on both the shop's website and YouTube channels.
 

The product draws inspiration from the nickname of a real-world, highly classified American military air force base specializing in the development of experimental aircraft.

02 research

Due to the product's existing thematic elements, researching and incorporating imagery that aligns with its theme, such as Stealth Fighter aircraft, proved to be a straightforward and simplified endeavor.

Given the classified nature of the aircraft, the absence of publicity material from the US Military presented a challenge in seeking inspiration for video composition.

Turning to computer games that now feature promotional videos with Hollywood film budgets and quality, there were numerous exemplary instances.

03 INSPIRATION

Military games centered around themes of espionage provided compelling and alluring examples, elevating the genre to an exciting and visually captivating level.

The Call of Duty series emerged as the most popular game and a staple for any gaming setup within a 'Mancave'.

Its cinematic introduction and thematic resonance made it an essential element for me to incorporate into the video I was tasked with filming and editing, ensuring it possessed that
coveted "must-have" quality.
