promo advert

A promo advert to make a product that is inherently mundane (a vehicle warning sticker) interesting, with a focus on portraying significance and deep meaning.

01 brief

A promotional video was essential to showcase a specialised product tailored for a specific audience. Catering to a distinct market of vehicle restorers, there was demand for meticulously replicated engine warning stickers. The video had to make a mundane product seem cool and in keeping with the feeling of being a biker.

Those same reproductions were also undertaken as part of an overall project with precision, ensuring accuracy in dimensions, colour reproduction, and lettering. The process involved utilizing a highly degraded photo of an original sticker as a reference to achieve the desired level of authenticity.

The narrative commenced with a focused exploration of the weathered, worn sticker affixed to the bicycle.

Regrettably, capturing the intended shot proved unfeasible. Consequently, extensive research was conducted to identify suitable stock footage that aligned seamlessly with the product's intended narrative.

This happened to result in a much sexier & sleek introduction than originally planned. Subtle visual aids were also incorporated, such as the title (dot above the letter i) appearing and being highlighted in the word 'detail'.
