cbre poster

The world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm (CBRE) required an engaging campaign to bring awareness to health & safety on
their premises.

01 brief

The brief required A4 posters for placement across all CBRE properties, to promote business continuity.  The posters needed to be visually engaging to capture employee attention.

The company proposed using cartoons to achieve this objective, but didn't have a preferred theme or style. I was tasked with generating creative ideas in response to this request.

02 investigate

Following a discussion with the company's contact, three pivotal keywords emerged from the drafted content:

Safety

Preparation

Awareness

Inspired by these, I envisioned a children's Scout theme that not only embodies these values but also facilitates a natural connection for viewers.

So cute!

03 development

A preliminary sketch was created using traditional pencil and paper, representing my preferred approach for initially conceptualising a potential direction.

Three characters were crafted to embody each key word, employing a distinctly cartoonish style.

Upon presentation, the client promptly embraced the concept, providing feedback that primarily focused on minor adjustments to poses. Additionally, I enhanced the size of the eyes to accentuate expressions, further refining the visual impact.

04 branding

In order to align the characters with the company brand, I requested CBRE's visual style guide.

This enabled me to seamlessly incorporate the designated colours, fonts, and layout into both the characters and the final design.

05 final design

The approved sketch was scanned into Adobe Illustrator where it was traced as an editable vector, and brand colours were applied.
